One of the most important features for a virtualization platform is security and reliability - as an underlying feature (tolerating and actively managing hardware and software faults) and as a means of protecting the data of the user from full-scale disasters, or to resolve within-VM faults. NodeWeaver integrates a full snapshot and backup engine, that provides all the functionalities of an enterprise backup infrastructure coupled with NodeWeaver’s simplicity.
Snapshots and backups are based on the internal job scheduling mechanism that underlies most of NodeWeaver’s activities - a distributed scheduler that supervise multiple actions and schedule them.
The administrator can create an unlimited number of jobs, for example to plan different snapshot schedules:
A job may involve the entire datastore, or a subset of it, filtered according to the user’s needs:
Each job can be scheduled separately, executed on-demand, delayed or replanned, giving total flexibility to the administrator that can plan and manage the platform in any situation. And - as for all the NodeWeaver features - all this functionality is part of the standard platform. There is no need to change license, or to add expensive add-ons to get what should be part of any hyperconverged platform. NodeWeaver provides what you need, at any scale.
