NEXCOM International (TWSE:8234) is partnering with NodeWeaver, a premier innovator of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) systems, to bring software-defined solutions for mid to large-size organizations, adding to their robust portfolio of enterprise-class technology solutions and information management strategies.
“We look forward to building our relationship and leveraging NodeWeaver’s HCI technology, to broaden our Edge Computing Solutions for every business vertical and purpose-built for our ODM/OEM partners’ unique environment.” said Andrew Huang, Vice President of Global Business Development at Nexcom.
"The partnership with NexCom is of particular importance for NodeWeaver, as it provides a tested and optimized hardware platform that is designed from the ground up for complex and demanding environments, characteristic of edge and industrial control systems.” said Carlo Daffara, CEO of NodeWeaver. “NexCom's extensive hardware line and exceptional engineering resources will give NodeWeaver's customers the perfect execution environment no matter where deployed or in which environment."
Nexcom’s Desktop appliance, DTA 1160 with Intel 8C-16C Atom Denverton (designed for vCPE and VNF use cases such as SD-WAN), and the Server-Grade NPA7100 (Dual Xeon Scalable Processors for datacenters and larger edge use cases); combined with NodeWeaver HCI software achieves the optimal balance of performance, density and capacity to flexibly match any workload and requirement.
With the modular-based architecture of the NPA series and the flexibility of NodeWeaver, infrastructure can scale-out linearly and independently. Adding the NPA7100 node to the cluster delivers resources for high performance server applications. Users can add the NPA7101 to the cluster for additional SSDs, and NPA7800 for NVMe solution, if storage is at a premium for the organization. These different nodes can all be easily combined into the same cluster as NodeWeaver automatically interrogates every node; load-balances, and optimizes all workloads across the cluster without manual intervention.
Founded in 1992, NEXCOM integrates its capabilities and operates six global businesses, which are Network and Communication Solutions, IoT Automation Solutions, Intelligent Digital Security, Internet of Things, Intelligent Platform & Services, and Mobile Computing Solutions.
